Hi there! I hope you all had a fun weekend.  We had a busy, fun-filled weekend! Now it’s back to regular programming around here, well except for the fact my husband will be going to Engineer’s Conference all week.  🙁  So this leaves me with the kids all week long…..I hope I don’t lose what’s left of my sanity! 🙂

Today I am going to share with you another of my mom’s creations!  I am really excited about this quilt she made.  I am even more excited that you can get this pattern for free!

The pattern is called “In From the Cold” by Kate Spain.

My mom bought this as a quilt kit a few months ago and she just completed it a few weeks back.  The piecing was all done by my mom: Nettie and the quilting was done by our friend Kathy.

I really love how this turned out! It’s so festive for Christmas and it looks super difficult, but my mom said it really wasn’t that bad to put together.

All the coffee cups are different, which I think it makes for a really fun look.

My personal favorite out of all the cups is the pinwheel cup.  You know I am a sucker for those pinwheels! 🙂

I also really love the fun ribbon embellishments she added to some of the cups, it brings another dimension to the quilt and just makes it that much cuter. 🙂

After seeing this beautiful quilt in person, I really want to make one.  Acutally, I have a better idea, I could convince my mom to make another one and give it to me! 😉

If you want to make this quilt, you can find the free pattern here.

Talk to you soon,
