Bedrest and Breech

This week has been quite hectic and I am sad to say that I won't be crafting for a while. I am in the homestretch of my pregnancy and little Charlie has decided to make it an interesting last couple of weeks! My doctor has put me on bed rest due to high blood pressure and so I won't be doing my usual crafting for quite a while. I might be able to do little projects here and there but for the most part it will be really quiet around here for a while.

Charlie has also decided that he likes his head in my ribcage. He has been breech most of my pregnancy and the chances he'll turn are very small. I had an ultrasound on Tuesday and he has his head against my placenta which is why he can't turn. They normally would try to do a version, where they turn him manually but in his current position it is too dangerous. So unless he decides to turn on his own I will be getting a c-section. I am not too thrilled about it, but I want to do whatever is safest for him.

I hope to be back crafting soon after the baby comes. I was talking to my husband the other day and told him that crafting makes me sane and that I am hoping that I will be able to start crafting again soon. It's what I love doing and enjoy spending my free time doing. I feel it's important to have a hobby where you can get away from the real world and just do something you love. I hope that I won't be too busy for crafting, but I can't say for sure that this will be the case. I am going to try my hardest to make room for it once he comes because I really do love it that much!

I'm sorry he is breech. But I agree with you doing what's best for your baby is what's best, and we don't always like it.

Just try to rest, we will all be here when your ready to craft again!

Oh, noes! I was on bed rest with Indy quite some time and it was soooo awful. I just wanted to get up and move around. I'll be sending you good thoughts.

I hope you have a beautiful delivery, no matter which way Charlie decides to make his entrance.

Both of my kids were breech (frank) and I was fortunate enough to have had a natural birth with both.

Rest up and enjoy it while you can.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this. I was on bedrest for 20 weeks with my second and I know it is not the most exciting thing. Sending prayers your way for a safe and easy delivery.

I'm sorry that you have to be on bed rest but you are right, you do what is best for Charlie :) My last daughter was breech and she turned the night before delivery which surprised me as she was 10 lbs. 5 oz at birth and I didn't feel a thing.

I hear ya about crafting keeping you sane. We've all had times where we couldn't do it but like all of my blogland friends say, take care of yourself and it will be there waiting for you :)

Hugs!

Rest is best... and soon you will have that sweet baby in your arms and able to get back to crafting. My son had the same problems... I used to tease that be took my breath away before he was even born... because I couldn't breathe... lol... he loved my ribs too! You and your family are in my prayers and I'm looking forward to you new posts!

Hopefully your little man decides to turn for you! If you haven't already checked out this site, it gives helpful tips on how to get a baby to turn. www.spinningbabies.com

Also, when pg with my 3rd, I had a chiropractor do the Webster technique a few times & he turned by week 36. Good luck!

Just read this post! So glad that Charlie was born safely, and I hope you recover quickly. My youngest was born breech (naturally, no meds--UGH!), and it was not easy. But it's so worth it in the end!! Your son is beautiful!
